The Metropolitan Transportation Authority was looking to improve safety and security and improve communication between the public and New York City Transit Authority at station booths and the Rail Control Center (RCC). Turtle & Hughes furnished and placed in operation new life safety communications and security devises in a fully integrated solution.
A utility company was experiencing dropped signals throughout its generating stations, resulting in inefficient data collection, no real-time analysis and diagnostics and sporadic access to a business/safety system. Turtle & Hughes is designing and installing state-of-the-art WiFi wireless network solutions for multiple generating stations, "future-proofing" the networks.
A California port operator wanted a maintenance-free solution that would ensure the aircraft warning lights atop its tall cranes, which are important to avoid collisions and maintain air and ground safety, would continuously shine brightly, even in the event of a power outage. Turtle & Hughes partnered with Cooper Crouse-Hinds to design a solar powered obstruction light, offering years of maintenance free operation while meeting safety specifications.
