New Jersey-based Catbridge Machinery knows what it takes to be different in the design and manufacturing of converting equipment, and was struggling with long design-to-build lag times, varying and disparate machine control technologies, deepening spare parts inventory, and expensive remote machine diagnostic architectures. When it came time to improve their own machinery, they looked for a like-minded partner to design a solution to optimize their processes.
A LIKE-MINDED PARTNERSHIP
The Turtle & Hughes Automation department developed a Rockwell OEM engagement that helped Catbridge engineers standardize all of their machine control designs around Allen-Bradley Integrated Architecture. Today, all logic control, HMI (human machine interface), drives, motion control/positioning and machine safety are integrated using one automation manufacturer and one standard Ethernet-based network.
Design-to-build times have been reduced, spare parts inventory has been cut in half and remote connectivity keeps Catbridge Machinery connected to any one of their machines around the globe with the click of a mouse.
