WORLD TRADE CENTER POWER DISTRIBUTION & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Tragic attacks of September 11, 2001 rocked our nation to its core, resulting in an unprecedented level of heartbreak and destruction. Turtle & Hughes was tasked with playing a key role in the World Trade Center redevelopment site, one of the most complex public works projects in our nation’s history. This has been one of the most privileged experiences in our company’s history.
FROM LOSS TO LIBERTY
Through 13 years of development, Turtle & Hughes has provided expertise in power distribution and project management to Tower One, Tower Four and the World Trade Center Chiller Plant. Our engineers developed power distribution and tunnel ventilation smoke exhaust systems to the 225,000 square foot Santiago Calatrava Valls-designed Transportation Hub. Our lighting specialists transformed 14 floors of offices in Tower 4 that now shine bright on a new generation of World Trade Center workers.
When One World Trade Center opened, it became the new gold standard for architecture, safety and sustainability. As the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, it has redefined Lower Manhattan and the entire New York City skyline.
Every wire and cable is powered by the weight of history. The buildings endure as a soaring reminder of our nation’s resiliency.
