Electrical Startup Testing & Commissioning | Turtle & Hughes

START-UP & COMMISSIONING

ON-SITE EQUIPMENT COMMISSIONING

Our pre-set-up checklists and onsite coordination with contractors and construction managers keep your major electrical projects on schedule. More than simply monitoring projects, we are a switchgear testing company with technical personnel who work side-by-side with installation technicians and managers on-site to keep everyone coordinated. And while it's the manufacturers' job to handle the necessary paperwork for final approvals and the electrical commissioning agent's responsibility to sign off before start-up, we remain on-site to answer any questions that might come up at the last minute and assist with final adjustments.

ASSISTANCE FOR CONTRACTORS

GUIDANCE FOR COMMISSIONING AGENTS

Switchgear electrical start-up testing and equipment commissioning go hand-in-hand, and at Turtle & Hughes, we ensure that both go smoothly by coordinating manufacturers, contractors, managers and commissioning agents, keeping your job on schedule.

  • Pre-start-up checklists keep contractors on the same page.
  • Management of equipment delivery and start-up provides a single point of contact for owners.
  • Onsite assistance from our technical personnel coordinates manufacturers, installation contractors and construction managers.
  • Guidance for commissioning agents ensures that all of their questions get answered so they can sign off on your project without delay.

Hudson Yards is the largest development in New York City in almost 100 years; a self-contained neighborhood with residential, office and commercial buildings, shops, restaurants, a creative hub, parks, playgrounds and a school. Two cogeneration plants — with switchgear from Turtle & Hughes — form a smart microgrid, which is designed to keep the complex running, even in the event a power outage.
