Complex installations may require operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals from a number of different manufactures. These are often generic and not specific for the needs of individual installations. At the same time, they may not be available until after equipment ships, delaying payment from owners who require them before issuing final approvals. Our engineers have decades of experience with the major manufacturers and can often put together custom O&M manuals before equipment even ships, expediting payments and final project approvals.
EXPEDITING APPROVALS AND PAYMENTS
Manuals produced by Turtle & Hughes O&M manual preparation service are just as accurate as those provided by equipment manufacturers, but they are also tailored for your individual installations, cross-referencing equipment made by different manufacturers. In addition, they can often be delivered more quickly.
Custom-designed O&M manuals can be delivered in binders, online, or in mix of formats.
More information and in the format you and property owners require means more useful documents.
Expedited service allows you to get approvals and payments to close out jobs more quickly.
SHEDDING LIGHT ON CANCER RESEARCH
When a new 21-story research center was being constructed in New York City, Turtle & Hughes Lighting department put together one of its most complex packages ever. This included custom-designed lab bench lighting fixtures that work in conjunction with a daylight harvesting system and a shade control system. The system prevents light pollution at night, creating a controlled environment to conduct research so scientists could achieve a better understanding of the disease and how to manage it.
Hudson Yards is the largest development in New York City in almost 100 years; a self-contained neighborhood with residential, office and commercial buildings, shops, restaurants, a creative hub, parks, playgrounds and a school. Two cogeneration plants — with switchgear from Turtle & Hughes — form a smart microgrid, which is designed to keep the complex running, even in the event a power outage.
When it opened in 2013, the Catskill-Delaware Ultraviolet Disinfection facility became the world’s largest UV water treatment facility, covering two billion gallons of drinking water and adding a layer of protection for more than nine million New York residents. Turtle & Hughes consulted on the project prior to construction, provided project management and equipment during the construction, and continues to offer technical support today.
