Thanksgiving Wishes

Putting someone else in your shoes can change everything this holiday.

This Thanksgiving, the employees of Turtle & Hughes are coming together to support Pay It Forward Sports by collecting gently used sneakers and cleats for the more than 300 million children around the world who are forced to go barefoot because they don’t own shoes. Today, it is estimated that more than 1 million children die annually from soil-transmitted diseases that could have been easily prevented if footwear had been worn.

Pay It Forward Sports was created in 2015 by then 11-year old Austin Copeland following a family trip to Africa. With the help of his two brothers and two cousins, he collected over 3,000 pairs of shoes in just the first few months of launching the non-profit.

Collection bags are located in all Turtle & Hughes offices. Or, donate your shoes directly to Pay It Forward Sports at 10450 Drummond Road, Philadelphia, PA, 19154.

It’s our way of showing how grateful we are for all of the bounty we enjoy.
