RAOTM Keynote Speaker Announced:
John W. Kennedy, CEO, New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program

John W. Kennedy, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP), will be keynote speaker at a special hospitality event during Rockwell Automation on the Move (RAOTM), Wednesday, May 17 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. The area’s premier automation trade show, a free two-day educational event, will be held at the Hilton Meadowlands, East Rutherford, NJ, and is sponsored by Turtle & Hughes.
Kennedy will appear at approximately 6:00pm. He will discuss how electronic controls have played a vital role in the advance of engineering and science. According to Kennedy, “In addition to its extreme importance in vehicle systems, robotic systems, medical devices and the like, electronic control has become an important and integral part of modern manufacturing and industrial processes.”
Kennedy has a strong background in manufacturing and engineering and has spent over 30 years in senior management at large companies and as owner of several successful firms including, The Multitech Group, an engineering design and services firm that specialized in material handling design, and development and implementation of O&M training and document for manufacturing/integration companies. As CEO of NJMEP, a private, not–for-profit organization backed by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Kennedy works to improve the profitability and competitiveness of New Jersey’s manufacturers.

Rockwell Training: Studio 5000 Logix Designer: Project Development

Upon completion of this course, given a functional specification for a Logix5000 application, you should be able to develop a project to meet the requirements of the specification. Covering tasks common to the following controllers: ControlLogix, CompactLogix and Softlogix. Rockwell Training: PowerFlex 750 Series Configuration and Start-up

Join us from March 20 – 21 in Linden. Upon completion of this course, given a wired PowerFlex 750-Series drive and AC motor, you will be able to start up the drive and configure drive parameters to meet application needs. You will have the chance to use a variety of hardware and software tools, including the A6 LCD HIM, DriveExecutive software, and DriveExplorer software.
