Giving Thanks

This Thanksgiving week, Patrick, part of the Turtle & Hughes Integrated Supply team, spent a night sleeping on the streets of Atlantic City, NJ, with nothing more than a cardboard box to protect him from cold temperatures. He did it to stand in solidarity with the more than two million young people across the country that will experience homelessness this year.

Sleep Out, sponsored by Covenant House, is a national movement to end youth homelessness. Patrick helped raise funds that will be used to house, feed and educate area youths.

“I have been very fortunate and I give thanks for everything I have in life,” says Patrick. “I hope that the money I raised for a night of being cold has a positive impact on a teenager’s life. I know that I view teenage homelessness a little differently after this experience.”

Patrick is one of hundreds of Turtle & Hughes employees that we give thanks for this holiday season.
